Expert Insight Session: Sexual Health in Cancer Survivors — Symptoms and Tools

In this Expert Insight Session, we addressed a topic that is frequently under-discussed in survivorship care: sexual health after cancer. Many survivors experience changes such as low desire, pain, vaginal dryness, erectile difficulties, body image concerns, and emotional distress — yet these concerns are often missed, minimized, or left untreated in routine follow-up.

Our guests Katrina Heath (Physical Therapist) and Rachel Murray (Nurse Practitioner) shared clinician-facing, practical strategies to help providers screen, initiate conversations, and offer evidence-informed tools and referrals. The session focused on common symptom patterns, accessible interventions, and ways to integrate sexual health support into survivorship care without overloading clinic workflows.
