Expert Insight Session: Survivorship in 2026: what is on an Oncologist’s wish list?
In this Expert Insight Session, “Survivorship in 2026: What Is on an Oncologist’s Wish List?” we explored the future of cancer care beyond treatment — and what clinicians truly need to better support patients in the years that follow. As survivorship populations grow and oncology teams face increasing workforce and resource constraints, the gap between patient needs and system capacity continues to widen.
This session brought together Dr. Sonikpreet Aulakh, Medical Oncologist at West Virginia University, and Dr. Chasse Bailey-Dorton, Co-founder of The After Cancer and Director of Integrative Oncology and Survivorship at First Health. They discussed how evidence-based programming, follow-up care, and integrated psychosocial support improve the standard of survivorship care.
Designed for oncology clinicians, this session offers understanding, insights, and practical tools for those who give so much of themselves to care for others.
